Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing committee, we have the
pleasure to cordially invite you to participate in the Meeting “Photosynthesis Research for
Sustainability –
2014”
in honor of Vladimir A. Shuvalov. Your participation is
important for the success of the Meeting, and will be very much appreciated. The meeting will be
held from June 2nd to 7th,
2014,
in
Pushchino,
Russia.
Please, download the PROGRAMME of the Meeting.
This
Meeting will be a great occasion for discussions of previous, present, and
future research on photosynthesis, from molecular to global, and will provide
an exiting scientific program, which will cover the breadth and depth of
photosynthesis, and to meet researchers of Photosynthesis from around the
world. This meeting will provide a forum for students, postdoctoral fellows and
scientists from different countries to deepen their knowledge and
understanding, widen professional contact and create new opportunities,
including establishing new collaborations.
The meeting will cover the following topics:
1. Primary
Processes of Photosynthesis
2. Structure,
Function and Biogenesis of the Photosynthetic Apparatus
3. Photosystem II and Water Oxidation Mechanism
4. Energy
Transfer and Trapping in Photosystems
5. Photosystem I and Bacterial
Photosynthesis
6. Carbon
Fixation (C3 and C4) and Photorespiration
7. Artificial
Photosynthesis for Hydrogen and Carbon-based Solar Fuels
8. Regulation
of Photosynthesis and Environmental Stress
9. Systems
Biology of Photosynthesis: Integration of Genomic, Proteomic, Metabolomic and
Bioinformatic Studies
10. Applied aspects of Photosynthesis: BioH2 and Bioelectricity
11. Emerging Techniques for Studying
Photosynthesis

entitled “Light energy conversion and storage in photosynthesis”. Guest editors of the
special issue are: Suleyman I. Allakhverdiev (Russia) and
Robert Carpentier (Canada). Another option to publish your materials is the newly established Signpost Open Access Journal of NanoPhotoBioScience (Chief editor - Suleyman I. Allakhverdiev).
The deadline for
submission of your articles is October 1, 2014.
We are
looking forward to meet you in Pushchino, the “City of Science”
situated in
Moscow region, not far from the
Capital city of Russia.
Here you
will find all information on the program, the deadlines, accommodation, travel
information, etc. The website will be regularly updated as more speakers and
